Recognition Awards Gala 2024: The Finalists

The Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA) is announcing the finalists for its Recognition Awards Gala, which will be held during the 2024 Xplor convention at Le Westin Montréal Hotel. Eight awards will be presented on October 30. Here are the finalists in four categories:

 

Excellence in substainable development award

This award is given to a company to highlight its high standards in sustainable development.

• Cree Mineral Exploration Board
• Diafor

 

Entrepreneur of the year

This award highlights the work of a company or team that has made significant progress over the past year. This progress can be related to the development of a specific project, the development of all the company’s activities, or the development of a mining project leading to its production phase.

• Patriot Battery Metals – Shaakichiuwaanaan Project
• Winsome Resources – Adina Project

 

Service company of the year

This award recognizes the work of a service company that, through the development and expansion of its services, has significantly contributed to the development of mineral exploration in Quebec or elsewhere.

• RJLL Drilling
• Rouillier Drilling
• Géophysique TMC

 

Discovery of the year

This award highlights the importance of a recent discovery that has produced a significant ripple effect on exploration activities with regard to both the property itself and the surrounding area. The discovery must promote activity and meet the criteria of continuity and economic potential.

• Amex – Perron Project
• Canadian Royalties – Nunavik Nickel Project, Inukshuk discovery
• Kenorland Minerals and Sumitomo Metal Mining – Frotet Project, Regnault discovery
• Winsome Resources – Adina Project

The Hector-Authier, Jean Descarreaux, Nicolas-Denys, and Leadership in Economic Contribution to Mineral Exploration awards will also be presented during the evening. Tickets for the October 30 event are now on sale here. Best of luck to the finalists!
