Hello,

I’m Ian Clermont, the Association’s new Director of Communications. I arrived with the team on Day 1 of Explo Abitibi, where I was told that the event was like a mini-Xplor.

Since then, there hasn’t been a day when the AEMQ hasn’t talked about this convention. In fact, I’m starting to see that this big gathering is more than just a convention; it’s the cornerstone of our association.

I’m lucky enough to hear about all of you through Valérie. I now know that Xplor is a community, for partners and participants alike. It’s a chance to update your knowledge, learn about new trends, network, and, above all, see friends and former colleagues.

I see this convention as my first “family party,” the first official introductions. Valérie and her amazing team have left some very big shoes to fill, but I’ll be doing my best after this to make Xplor 2025 as wonderful as you are.

If you see me at Xplor, don’t hesitate to say hello. I’d love to take the time to get to know you so that this event—and the Association as a whole—can be everything you’d ever hoped for.
